Students from Bluebell and Juniper classes participated in a ceramics project funded by NAPD. The project aims to raise awareness about the Syrian refugee crisis. We are very excited to have been selected to participate in this year's “Sculpture in Context
We were able to complete this project with the help of funding from Creative Engagement which allowed us to invite the ceramicist Pat Rafferty into our school to guide us through the project. The theme also reflected how involved students and teachers in our art in activism around global themes. During this project students did a lot of research about the plight of Syrian people in Syria and as refugees.
