With funding provided by the CDETB and JCSP programme we were able to create this house in memory of the civilian Andrew Cunningham who was killed by the crown forces after the surrender in 1916. Students thought about what Andrew would have seen on his last days on earth as he moved around Dublin city and created small pieces based on Georgian architecture which were then joined together to create one large piece.
The piece was exhibited in O Connell Street on Easter Monday and later in the Botanic Gardens. It is now on tour with over three hundred sculptures created by students from all over the country. Once again, we were very happy to have the wonderful Pat Rafferty to guide us through this project.
