Master blacksmith Patrick Strahan made a return visit to the school in October as it was such a hit in 2018! A wholly engaging experience for all students, encompassing numerous learning styles – kinaesthetic and visual. Students designed individual metalwork piece of jewellery after chatting to Patrick about themselves. Patrick was also a great storyteller, a life coach who could encourage the students to think about their futures and action plans to achieve their dreams. Students enjoyed such a fresh, yet traditional arts experience and the forge was a real draw to the whole school community throughout the day, promoting our Deis attendance policy and supporting wellbeing.
