Mission Statement
‘Ellenfield Community College seeks to encourage all to achieve their full potential in a supportive atmosphere which respects diversity. The school welcomes the involvement of parents and community in developing the skills necessary for students to become self-motivating members of society’
The Whole School Guidance Plan reflects the student-centred philosophy which underpins the Ellenfield Community College mission statement. Its key goals are the fostering of self-esteem, and the development of potential – academic, personal and emotional- leading to the greater empowerment of each student.
The guidance counselling service is seen as having a central role in the continuous developmental process of each individual student, which begins prior to the entry of the student to Ellenfield Community College, and concludes after the student leaves.
